Learning Resources for Collective Action

How can this blog be helpful?

How can grassroots leaders, community organizers, educators and students learn from others who have tackled the fundamental challenge of creating positive community and social change in the US?  How can they best develop the skills, knowledge, vision, and persistence they'll need to win victories on issues of poverty, race, power and opportunity?

And how can they learn how they can contribute to strengthening communities which are being left behind, America's fraying social fabric, and our democracy?

This blog pulls together a growing collection of materials on  strategies for meeting this educational challenge.  Most of these materials are not otherwise available on line.  We hope they provide practical help and new perspectives to educators, trainers, and people who are in the trenches working on the massive issues of poverty, race, justice and opportunity in communities like their own and at the local, state, and national levels.    Without their leadership, America will never live up to its central goal of providing liberty and justice for all.
